The parliamentary Hearing Special Committee has called Kedar Prasad Giri, recommended for the post of Chief Justice by the Constituent Council, on September 11, 2007 to answer to the complaints filed against his appointment. The committee head is Aamod Prasad Upadhyaya. Since there was no consensus to appoint Giri as CJ, the PHSC forwarded its stance to Constituent Council.
