NC mahasamiti has decided to go for federal democratic republic in the country. This is the decision made after a day of unification of the NC and NC (democratic) parties. The political paper and endorsed election manifesto have proposed that the head of the republic would be elected by members of the central and provincial legislature.
However, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai announced his resignation from the party after the party’s decision to go for republic. Sujata Koirala is also with KP Bhattarai’s side. Major political parties have lauded the decision of the NC to go for a democratic republic.
