New Chief Justice in Nepal
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala appointed Kedar Prasad Giri as Chief Justice of Nepal on October 5, 2007. Giri had been serving as acting Chief Justice till date. Former Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Poudel had retired on September 7.
