TEACHER ARRESTED FOR STUDENT AFFAIR
A 42-year-old schoolteacher has been arrested for having sex with her 16-year-old former student. Noriko Shimomura, a mother of three and music teacher at a publicly funded junior high school in Southern Saga city, was arrested on charges of having sex with a minor. Having sex with a person under 18 is punishable with fines of up to 500,000 (4,300 $) or imprisonment of up to two years under local law.
